Audley European Opportunities Fund Limited is a long biased hedge fund, launched in August 2005 and co-founded by UK activist pioneer Julian Treger and private equity investor Michael Treichl that seeks to generate absolute returns. The Fund’s objective is to make opportunistic investments, often in distressed and value impaired situations, and create value by “driving events” through active engagement with management teams, strategic buyers, and private equity firms.
The Fund focuses on UK and European listed companies where it can create value as a proactive shareholder whilst working amicably with management teams whenever possible. The Fund’s investment process combines a range of investment strategies including friendly activism, distressed investing and private equity to identify undervalued companies in need of restructuring to unlock hidden value.
